Governance Controls Are the Real Feature for Gov Devs

Conversation history stays local on agency devices, and admins get SSO via their own identity providers. For teams building on Claude in regulated settings, this is a template for what enterprise controls now look like.

Hard spending caps also mean no surprise overage bills when a pilot takes off.

Huang and Zuckerberg Challenge Amodei at the White House

At a September 29 White House meeting, Nvidia’s Jensen Huang questioned Dario Amodei about his public AI risk warnings. Amodei defended transparency about model capabilities and safety concerns, while Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg opposed new regulation.

Reports say industry self-regulation plans fell apart after Huang, Zuckerberg and Elon Musk objected to President Trump.

Research

Claude Agents Find a Novel Enzyme System in Phage DNA

Roughly 950 Claude agents spent 21 hours scanning a huge DNA database, reviewing 200,000+ reverse transcriptases and narrowing 3,500 candidates to 20. The standout: array-associated reverse transcriptases, paired with CRISPR-like DNA repeats.

Its function is still unknown. MIT and Broad Institute’s Feng Zhang called it an exciting example of AI agents contributing to biological discovery.

🧠 Analysis
Take

Agents Pay the Bills, and Washington Is Watching

SemiAnalysis estimates about 90% of Anthropic’s business comes from agentic AI, and FT sources say two clients accounted for nearly 25% of 2025 revenue. That is a big bet on one use case and a few buyers.

Meanwhile Anthropic is courting governments with FedRAMP High while rivals publicly challenge its risk messaging. Trust is the product it is selling, and this week showed how contested that pitch is.
